Amprion is making its transmission grid fit for the future: We will be building or upgrading a total of 3,500 kilometers of power lines. These include important north-south links such as from Meppen via Wesel on the Lower Rhine to Koblenz, A-North and Ultranet. With these line construction projects, we are creating a new direct current connection running from Lower Saxony via North Rhine-Westphalia to Baden-Württemberg. In addition, there are new offshore connections as well as a large number of regional measures with which we are increasing the capacity of our lines and substations. This is how we at Amprion are making our contribution to the energy transition.
