Community development
Under the heading of community development, Amprion brings together projects relating to social engagement in the grid regions.
Volunteering is a central pillar of German society. It fosters cohesion, social stability and better crisis management – and for Amprion, it is obvious that we support our own employees in this important social work. To this end, the company launched the ‘Social Projects in the Grid’ programme (in German: Soziale Projekte im Netz, SPIN) back in 2003. The offer: Anyone involved in voluntary work can apply for up to €2,000 in funding for their project. In this way, around €60,000 was channelled into the voluntary projects and initiatives of Amprion employees in 2025.
Community Development is another long-term funding programme that supports projects and initiatives aimed at strengthening educational and social equality. Amprion invested around €115,000 in this programme in 2025: the projects range from early childhood education to career guidance and higher education. They all aim to break down educational barriers in order to facilitate access to good education.
By the end of 2026, Amprion also aims to develop a company-wide corporate volunteering strategy to strategically align its commitment and involve employees even more closely.
