Voerde: Road closures between Löhnen and Mehrum
The existing power connection between the Niederrhein substation in Wesel and the Osterath substation near Meerbusch is to be upgraded. Construction work has begun on the planned underground cable connection between Voerde and Rheinberg-Budberg. As part of this work, side streets in Voerde in the area of the planned underground cable connection will also need to be closed.
The following streets are expected to be closed from May 18 to June 22:
- Ettwigstraße, between Brinksweg and Holzweg
- Pahlacker, between Holzweg and Krummackerweg
The following access roads to Ettwigstraße and Pahlacker in this area will also be closed:
- Brinksweg
- Götterswicker Str.
- Holzweg
- Brandscheidstraße
Closures in the area of Ettwigstraße (between Schulstraße and “Am Rosengarten”) and Heckakerstraße (between Löhnen and “Am Schanzenberg”) are already in effect.
Detours
The streets “Am Rosengarten” and “Am Kirchacker” will remain open to traffic. Detours will be signposted.
