As a transmission system operator, we at Amprion have a great deal of responsibility and make important contributions to the transformation of the energy system. That's why long-term thinking is a central principle in everything we do and sustainable action the foundation of our core business. We are a reliable partner for our stakeholders and an attractive employer for employees and young talent.
We have been actively engaged for years - but we want to further improve our performance and make it more visible to the outside world. This is why we have developed a sustainability strategy and defined important spheres of action. In addition, we have set ourselves clear goals that we want to achieve with ambitious aspirations. In doing so, we want to continuously improve ourselves. This includes, not least, creating more transparency about our sustainability performance and having us measured against it in the future.
Read more about our sustainability efforts in our current sustainability report, published in September 2021. In 2019, we introduced a strategy report in order to increase transparency.
Our Sustainability Policy
Our transmission system connects power markets in Germany and Europe for the energy world of today and tomorrow. At the same time we make our contribution to the best system security. We place a high value on the protection of people and the environment, and we act for the wellbeing of the community. As a reliable partner, we are in communication with our customers and other stakeholders. We are responsible and oriented to the future in our work on the best possible expansion, reconstruction and operation of the power grid, as well as the energy system's ongoing development.
Our Sustainability Strategy and its Spheres of Activity
Lived responsibility, creating the energy system for tomorrow. That describes the central goal we are pursuing with our sustainability strategy. For the consistent management of our activities we have identified five spheres of activity – which also take into account the challenges of the future and our stakeholders' expectations.
